WebbTV är ett fantastiskt media som gör det möjligt att marknadsföra basket. Under säsongen 2008/09 stod Svenska Basketbollförbundet i första hand för live-sändning av 22 matcher från den Svenska Basketligan samt ett antal matcher från landslagsverksamheten. Under säsongen 2009/10 har Svenska Basketligan haft sändningar ca varannan vecka och Damligan en gång per månad.
Genom skapandet av denna webbplats har Svenska Basketbollförbundet och svensk basket fått en naturlig samlingsplats med rörligt material med Svenska Basketbollförbundet som avsändare. Webbplatsen fungerar som en informations- och marknadsföringskanal för svensk basket.
Målet är att vara förstavalet på webben för alla basketintresserade i Sverige som vill se rörligt material från svensk basket i alla dess former, vilket innebär: elitverksamhet, juniorverksamhet, utbildning och landslagsaktiviteter samt sporten som livsstil.
